Who We Are
As a mother and daughter duo, we created Red Tribe Community to help families approach this milestone with confidence, curiosity, and connection. What began as honest conversations at home about puberty, emotions, and growing up has evolved into a movement that equips moms and daughters everywhere with tools to thrive.
Monica, a creative entrepreneur and community builder, saw how many mothers longed for resources to help guide their girls through the early stages of womanhood. Vivian, her inspiration and co-creator, reminded her that girls don’t just need information—they need support, sisterhood, and safe spaces to ask questions and feel seen.
Together, they built Red Tribe Community as a trusted wellness resource combining education, storytelling, and community engagement to promote whole-girl health. Their mission is to make the “period talk” less awkward and more empowering, reminding every mom and daughter that this journey is something to be celebrated, not feared.
At Red Tribe Community, we’re here to ensure that no mom or girl has to walk this path alone—because every girl deserves her tribe.
OUR STORY
VIVIAN: "One day we were driving in the car, just having girl talk, when my Godmother called. After the call, Mommy started talking about creating a rite-of-passage experience for girls entering womanhood. Then we started brainstorming names... and that's how Red Tribe Community was born."
MONICA:
"That's exactly how it happened! We were having one of those conversations with an Auntie, and I remember thinking, 'When it's Vivian's time, I want to celebrate it. I don't want such an important milestone to simply come and go.'
At first, the idea was simply to create a meaningful rite of passage around a girl's transition into womanhood. But as we prayed, researched, and talked with other families, we realized this was about so much more than one moment.
We looked at traditions like quinceañeras and debutante balls and saw the beauty in celebrating a young woman's transition. But we also recognized that many families were looking for something different, something that prepared girls before the celebration, not just celebrated them afterward. We wanted to bridge the wisdom of traditional rites of passage with the realities of raising girls today. So instead of creating just another event, we created a journey.
Today, Red Tribe Community walks mothers, daughters, and trusted adults through ten months of intentional growth—building identity, confidence, leadership, and stronger relationships. The Rite-of-Passage Gala is still there, but now it's the celebration of everything they've become along the way.
That's when we knew this wasn't just for Vivian. It was something we were called to build for families everywhere."
